Here is a mind map of my ideas:

I have chosen to do romance for my production. I have came up with different ideas for my production. These are:

 I have decided to go with idea one but also included idea three. this is because I want both of the main characters to have diaries to show their thoughts with the audience. At first we decide to only have the girl to have a diary and voice over to tell us what is happening and who the boy was. But I thought that it may get confusing for the audience and biased as he viewers are only hearing her thoughts. To stop this, I have decide to included the boy's diary and voice over.

This was my first idea with for this film production. Now I am going to have the same plot but instead of the boy and girl meeting up at school, the girl hasn't found the boy who she fell in love with when she was young and going to find him on different social media websites. I will still include a voice over with the diary to tell us what is happening in the opening scene. In my research, I found out that most film openings have voice overs to give the viewers some background information before the film fully starts. I wanted to include this into my production. Also as it is a romantic, I wanted to include the stereotype of the girl thinking about love more than the boy. I have included this stereotype by showing the young love from the girl's point of view.

From my questionnaire results, I have choose to use 'Remember Me?' as it fits the plot of our production. I have researched different fonts for the film title. As I am going to have the title included in a question which the girl will write in her diary, I wanted it to be similar to her handwriting. I used www.dafont.com as it supplies copyright free fonts for users to use. I used the handwriting tab and after researching in this tab, it came up this the font below. I also want to the title to be big as the girl has big handwriting and also to make the title eye catching.

Characters

I have asked for permission from the character’s parents so that their children can feature in my film. I did this by writing a letter for them to sign if they would give their permission.  Before I handed them the letter, I told them what I was planning to do for my production. They have both agreed to let me have their children as actors in my production. Below are the letters with their permission.

Costume

The children will be wearing a denim top with leggings and jeans with a band top. This will show their age and shows the fashion of that time as denim never goes out of fashion. As fashion is mostly what most people wear, I wanted to put this in my production as a stereotype.

Props

I am going to use different props. These will included: 
old fashion toys, a diary, pens and a old photo. 

These will be used at different parts of the production. For example I will use the photo when the girl is writing her diary remembering the young boy is moving away and old fashion toys when the children are playing together in the flashback.

Risk assessment

As I am using young children in my production, I asked permission from their parents to be in the film. They are happy for me to use them as actors. I had to do this as I need permission from the children's parents as I can't use videos and pictures of children without their parent's permission. As I am using my younger brother and my mother's friend's child, they gave my permission as both of the children know me and my mother will be with me while I film too.

 I have also done a risk assessment as I am working with young children. The risks are:

Hot drinks away from children

Sharp edges on toys

Children near main road

  Children near cars
Wear seatbelts when the car is in movement

Test shots

I have done some filming with the young children who will be the actors for the younger boy and girl of the production. Here is video of some of the test shots of the children.

Here is my filming schedule. The dates are estimated when filming is going to happen.

Voice over

As I am including a voice over in my production, below is the script which I have written.

"Dear diary,

When I was young, I fell in love with this boy. It was love at first sight.

His name was Alfie Moon. We was so close. We was best friends. But he moved away and I never saw him again.

I can’t stop thinking about him. Even until this day. I want him back in my life.

I hope I find him and we can be close again.

But there is always something on my mind.

Will he remember me?"
